CSO Position Paper on Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, Land and Water Resources Management Programme

Inclusive Green Economy Network - East Africa (IGEN - EA) joined Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG) and its partners to present an informative position paper on the Regional Development Program in response to the Ministerial Policy Statement FY 2023/24.

The paper outlines the importance of the Regional Development Program in stopping and reversing the degradation of water resources, the environment, natural resources, and the effects of climate change. IGEN - EA advocated for more budgetary allocations to renewable energy.

This position paper is a testament to the commitment IGEN-EA has in working with CSOs in the region to upholding a constructive engagement strategy, ensuring budgets are inclusive and reflect the aspirations of the poor and marginalized groups in Uganda. Click here to read the position paper.
